Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Türkiye to Azerbaijan, Birol Akgün, visited APA Media Group.

During the meeting, cooperation opportunities in the media sector and joint information initiatives between Azerbaijan and Türkiye were discussed.

Vusala Mahirgizi, APA Media Group Director General, provided Ambassador Birol Akgün with detailed information about the media organization’s activities, structure, and its affiliated news platforms.

Vusala Mahirgizi also shared views on cooperation possibilities between the media organizations of both countries across various platforms, emphasizing the benefits of mutual experience exchange.

In turn, Ambassador Birol Akgün emphasized that Azerbaijani-Turkish relations hold strategic importance in all areas, including media and information exchange.

The diplomat stated that close contacts, experience sharing, and information exchange between the media organizations of both countries are of special importance for safeguarding common interests in regional and international information policies.

The ambassador added that coordinated media efforts, joint initiatives, and the objective and timely dissemination of information are key pillars of the strategic partnership between the two brotherly countries.

Discussions also covered combating disinformation and future cooperation mechanisms against the backdrop of ongoing regional and global developments.
