Hafiz Heydarov is one of Azerbaijan's distinguished media executives, professional journalists, and editors. Since joining APA Media Group in 2006, he has played an important role in the organization's development, serving in various editorial and leadership positions. He currently serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Lent.az, one of APA Media Group's leading digital media platforms.

As Editor-in-Chief, Hafiz Heydarov leads Lent.az's editorial strategy, oversees its daily news agenda, and directs the platform's content development. Under his leadership, Lent.az has continued to strengthen its position as one of Azerbaijan's most widely read digital news platforms, distinguished by its timely news coverage, original reporting, exclusive interviews, social projects, and multimedia content.

Throughout his professional career, Hafiz Heydarov has built extensive expertise in news journalism, editorial management, and digital media. He has made significant contributions to the advancement of professional journalism standards, modern newsroom management, and the production of high-quality digital content.

In 2024, he participated in the media coverage of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP29). In recognition of his contribution to the successful media coverage of the conference, he was awarded an official Certificate of Recognition.

For his long-standing and distinguished service to journalism, Hafiz Heydarov was awarded the Progress Medal (Tərəqqi Medal) by Presidential Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In 2025, he was also awarded the "150th Anniversary of Azerbaijani National Press" Jubilee Medal in recognition of his significant contribution to the development of Azerbaijani journalism.

During his professional career, Hafiz Heydarov has also received official commendations and awards from the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan in recognition of his effective cooperation and contribution to strengthening collaboration between the media and public institutions.

Today, as Editor-in-Chief of Lent.az, Hafiz Heydarov continues to lead the platform's strategic development, oversee the creation of innovative media projects and high-quality digital content, and further strengthen Lent.az's position as one of Azerbaijan's leading online news platforms.
