Rasim Sultanzadə

Rasim Sultanzade is one of Azerbaijan's emerging sports journalists and media executives. He serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Apasport.az, APA Media Group's sports news platform, where he leads the website's editorial policy, oversees the coverage of national and international sporting events, and directs its digital content strategy.

Rasim Sultanzade is actively involved in the development of sports journalism in Azerbaijan and is a member of the Azerbaijan Sports Journalists Association (ASJA). Through the association, he participates in professional cooperation initiatives and projects supporting the advancement of sports media.

In 2025, he was named "Sports Journalist of the Year" in the sports websites category at the annual awards presented by the Azerbaijan Sports Journalists Association (ASJA), recognizing his outstanding contribution to sports journalism.

In recognition of his professional achievements, Rasim Sultanzade received an Honorary Diploma from the Azerbaijan Karate Federation. He has also been awarded a Certificate of Distinction and Diploma by Azerlotereya OJSC for his successful performances in media championships ("FC" tournaments) organized among sports journalists.

In 2025, he was awarded the "150th Anniversary of Azerbaijani National Press" Jubilee Medal in recognition of his contribution to the development of Azerbaijani journalism.
